The Discotexas Band was born in Lisbon to have the anthems of Discotexas' growing catalogue played out loud, and this way pay a tribute to its small family of artists. The band features the talented shine of Moullinex, Xinobi, Da Chick, Luís Calçada and Miguel Vilhena, long time collaborators of the label's projects.
In one of their shows you can dance and most likely sweat to live re-interpretations of artists such as Mirror People, Kamp!, Justin Faust, Peaches, Moullinex, Xinobi and Da Chick.
Not many record labels exhibit this specific trait: the ability to unify their inner diversities into a single live experience, one of those so special that you'll take home with you in your heart.
Though most of these songs interpreted were made in dark, lonely studios, they now are brought to taste the light of day in a much more organic approach, being staged and geared up with live bass and guitars, drums, percussion and the band's restless but nevertheless charismatic lead singer - along with the visual aspect of the show, which, again deeply rooted in Discotexas' own visual "heritage", has been carefully developed in order to illustrate the band's music in an edgy but classy way.
