GRAMMATICS (Dance To The Radio/Uk)
Pop. Après deux ans d’existence et un vrai premier single publié il y a six mois chez les incontournables Dance To The Radio, Shadow Committee, lequel prolongé par un EP en import japonais Verity And Reverie, la nouvelle formation de l’un des leaders de feu Colour Of Fire, reprend du service. Ainsi, dès les premières mesures du titre phare du single, D.I.L.E.M.M.A, et son foisonnement instrumental et mélodique, se font jour les influences disparates et néanmoins parfaitement assimilées et maîtrisées dans une extrême cohérence et une parfaite homogénéité. La voix toujours aussi sublime d’Owen virevolte sur des harmonies aux accents tantôt grandiloquents, dans le sens positif du terme, flirtant avec les envolées symphoniques, tantôt intimistes et d’une rare subtilité. Aux confins de tous les styles modernes, à la fois percutant, rythmé et léger, D.I.L.E.M.M.A est d’une beauté évanescente et nous transporte au-delà des frontières du rock, nous envoûtant par sa magie. THE NEW GOVERNMENT (Liban)
Pop Punk / Indie / Electrique. "The New Government" : trio libano-français formé à Beyrouth en 2004. Jeremie Regnier (claviers, vox), Timothée Regnier (guitare, vox) Zeid Hamdan (guitare, machines, vox). Sur scène "The New Government" propose des compositions volontairement très mélodiques, à l'efficacité toute « Kinksienne », parcourues de sonorités psyché, new wave et d'influence krautrock. Les 3 membres jouent de manière frontale, alignés à l'avant-scène. Certains journalistes spécialisés, de passage à Beyrouth, les ont parfois comparé aux très productifs "Of Montréal". La critique musicale locale, elle, y décèle certaines influences évidentes du rock anglais, pop 60's ou punk ou bien encore de groupes américains plus actuels comme "Interpol". Le groupe a deux albums à son actif ainsi que plusieurs tournées, en Suisse et en France, notamment.
