On 8 August 2026, Cape Town's Modular and Paris-based FVTVR come together for a resident-led collaboration. Curated by Modular residents Deano and Jed, who have each held a residency at the club for almost a decade, the project brings together two independent spaces united by a shared commitment to forward-thinking electronic music and contemporary club culture.

Since opening in 2017, Modular has established itself as one of South Africa's underground clubs, known for its intimate three-room venue, uncompromising programming and dedication to cultivating local and international talent. Across the continent, FVTVR has become a fixture within Paris' electronic music landscape, championing adventurous club music while hosting a wide range of artists and labels.

The collaboration marks a cultural exchange between Cape Town and Paris, presenting a programme that reflects the ethos of both institutions. Joining the Modular residents are Berlin-based techno innovator Amotik and Paris' Olivia Mendez, whose hypnotic, driving sound has made her one of the city's contemporary selectors. Together, the four artists present an evening that celebrates dialogue, experimentation and the communities that continue to shape underground electronic music across borders.
