• Stephen O’Malley
Stephen O’Malley is a guitarist, producer, composer, and visual artist who has conceptualized and participated in numerous drone and experimental music groups for over two decades, SUNN O))), KTL, and Khanate being among his best-known creations. Prolific, O’Malley’s work is defined by its breadth, complexity, and multidisciplinary interests. It includes collaborations with a wide range of experimental artists, including Scott Walker, Kali Malone, Alvin Lucier, choreographer Gisèle Vienne, the authors Dennis Cooper and Alan Moore, Peter Rehberg, Fujiko Nakaya, Jim Jarmusch, Johan Johansson, and experimental music research centers IRCAM, INA-GRM (Paris), EMS (Stockholm), among others. O’Malley has toured around the world since 2000. His live performances feature reverberating electric guitar minimalism.
• Shapednoise
Born in Sicily and now residing in Berlin, Nino Pedone is a producer, DJ, sound designer, and label founder best known for his work as Shapednoise. He crafts complex, distorted electronic textures, blending them with meticulously designed rhythms and drawing inspiration from industrial music, the hardcore continuum, experimental noise, hip-hop, and rap.
Pedone’s idiosyncratic technique has evolved across five releases: Until Human Wakes Us (Opal Tapes, 2013), Different Selves (Type, 2015), Aesthesis (Numbers, 2019), and Absurd Matter, followed by Absurd Matter 2, the first releases on his multidisciplinary platform WEIGHT LOOMING, featuring guest spots from NY rap duo Armand Hammer, French producer Brodinski, Dean Hurley, Philadelphia poet, musician, and activist Moor Mother, and Bruiser Brigade’s ZelooperZ.
• EXIT
EXIT is the new collaborative project between ex.sses and Grady Steele. Through a live/DJ hybrid set, they present world-building focused on paralleling power electronics and tactile industrial ambience.
