Protégé de Jackie McLean, Wayne Escoffery est l'un des plus grands saxophonistes ténors contemporains. Sideman pour Eric Reed, membre du Mingus Big Band avec qui il remporte un Grammy Award, membre du groupe Jazz At Lincoln Center's Music Of The Masters avec qui il multiplie les concerts et enfin saxophoniste du Tom Harrell Quintet, entre autres, à seulement 42 ans, Wayne Escoffery a deja huit albums en leader et un nombre considérable d'enregistrements en tant que sideman à son actif. Avec son quartet, il s'installe sur notre scène où il met toute sa virtuosité et son énergie au service de deux soirées exceptionnelles ! A protégé of the late Jackie McLean, Wayne Escoffery is one of the greatest contemporary tenor saxophonists. Sideman for Eric Reed, member of The Mingus Big Band with whom he won a Grammy Award in 2011 and saxophonist of the group Jazz At Lincoln Center's Music of the Masters, he is currently a member of The Tom Harrell Quintet and has been since 2006. At only 42 he has recorded eight CDs as a leader and been on numerous recordings as a sideman. On our stage with his quartet, his virtuosity and energy are the promises of two amazing nights !
