When Alice is in Wonderland, she discovers a fantasy world populated by peculiar, anthropomorphic creatures.

One might think that Quentin Armand and Oliver Bragg installations and works on paper would please Lewis Carroll taste for phantasmagoria.

To the artists there is no need to travel to Wonderland. Alice wonders more in the real world in front of the Platonic wall of her cave.

The exhibition is indeed an exploration of 2 universes through the use of familiar materials and imagery:

- The cosmos itself. Our desperate attempts to grasp its infinity leaves us confronted by our relative proportion. Quentin Armand lets a bear try to grasp the moon as it might succeed where we may be failing. Oliver Bragg gives us a sense of achievement by enclosing the cosmos in a cardboard box – or does he?

- The human being depth is equal to that of the cosmos. For instance, Oliver Bragg uses simple technology to convey a metaphysical question that has plagued thinking men throughout time – WHY?

The French and British post-conceptual artists whose exhibition is a series of hypnotic suggestions playfully sidetrack everything.

After all, Socrates was already saying, “Wisdom begins in Wonder”.
